Overview

Granular urea is produced by a granulation process that creates larger, harder and rounder particles than prilling. The bigger particle size reduces dust formation, improves crushing strength, and suits mechanical spreading equipment used in large-scale farming as well as NPK blending plants where particle size matching with other nutrients matters.

For buyers operating blending plants, granular urea is normally matched with granular DAP/MAP and potash so the blended product does not segregate during handling. Particle size distribution is therefore a key commercial parameter — tell us your blending requirements when requesting a quotation.

Is granular urea better than prilled urea?

Neither is universally better — they suit different uses. Granular urea spreads more evenly by machine and blends better with other granular fertilizers. Prilled urea dissolves faster and is often preferred for hand application and fertigation. Price and availability also differ by period.

Can you match a specific particle size for my blending plant?

Particle size distribution can be confirmed per production lot. Send us your blending specification when requesting a quotation and we will confirm what the producing plant can guarantee.

What loading ports do you use?

Qingdao is our main loading port; other major Chinese ports can be arranged depending on the production source and shipping schedule.
